As Administrative Assistant, Laurie Winter provides in-depth support across xScion’s corporate team. She works diligently across functions to support initiatives including talent on-boarding, marketing and internal communications, executive administration and employee branding.
Laurie has worked with xScion for 6 years, starting in a remote part-time resume editing role while staying home to raise her children. Laurie moved into her current full-time position in January of 2020. She is a dependable team member who successfully manages multiple priorities and delivers quality results on-time with minimal supervision. She finds great joy in helping others and enjoys the ever-changing daily duties of her role.
Laurie brings over 10 years of experience to her position, having previously worked as a Sr. Administrative Assistant for the Division Vice President of Pricing at Northrop Grumman, and as an Executive Assistant for the Founder and President of the MSBL/MABL. She also spent 4 years working as a Technical Writer for STG, Inc. where she was responsible for preparing, producing and distributing technical data in formats required by government specification, contract and company policy. In this role, Laurie led the effort to write and produce a technical manual for the Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A) Enabled, Analysis Control Team-Enclave (ACT-E), AN/TYQ-103A(V)3, detailing components of the system and repair procedures.
Laurie attended Farmingdale State University and Northern Virginia Community College. She works closely with Stillbrave Childhood Cancer Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization that provides non-medical supportive care to children with cancer and their families in the Northern Virginia/DC area. In her free time, Laurie enjoys spending time husband and three children, watching her kids on the baseball field, and traveling.
