As a Content Strategist, Kevin Heisey develops marketing and thought leadership for xScion. His ability to understand complex ideas and easily communicate them to varied audiences makes him a key asset to xScion’s Marketing team. Utilizing his high level of creativity and ability to use data-driven insights, Kevin works extensively with xScion’s experts to understand key changes in the marketplace and provide actionable insights to help clients implement change within their organization.

Prior to joining xScion, Kevin spent over 20 years working in the Academics arena as a Professor of Economics, Sport Business and Marketing. Over the course of his career, he has written numerous peer reviewed journal articles, papers and academic books. Furthermore, he also was an Editor and Contributor on the Routledge Handbook of International Sport Business, a collaboration with 56 authors from 21 countries. In addition to Kevin’s writing experience, he also served in the United States Military. He played a key role in the planning, training, and execution of the successful deactivation of the intercontinental ballistic missile wing at Whiteman AFB, Missouri. Kevin’s work and studies have taken him to more than 25 countries and has given him unique experiences and an appreciation for working in different cultures and environments.

Kevin holds a PhD in Sports Economics and Management from the German Sport University, a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Central Missouri, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Franklin & Marshall College. When he is not working, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and being outdoors.
